It is a design technique used to take out unneeded mass from the sole and back of the club head. This reduces the friction between the ground and the club at impact, increasing club head speed and making for a greater transfer of energy between the club head and the ball.

The Driving Cavity design produces balanced perimeter weight distribution that creates more stability on heel/toe miss-hits and a larger sweet spot. This is due to the Driving Cavity raising and deepening the Center of Gravity (CG).

The raised and deepened CG creates a penetrating ball flight with no balloon effect, so the ball will cut through the wind and roll on the drop. The Driving Cavity allows having an explosive impact off the club face, while still staying within the legal confines of the USGA

The reason why the Driving Cavity sole design is so effective is because the roof of the cavity provides an area of mass perfectly online with the optimal impact area of the face. This provides an extreme amount of punch to the forward motion of the ball.

This extra punch at impact combined with a resonating sound, a classic shape and sleek (it doesn’t look like a bowling ball), a black shinny club head, plus the distinctness of the Driving Cavity, will give golfers of all levels a confidence and satisfaction.
